Engineered for Severe Industrial Duty

The Solanzo Abrasive Slurry Pump is a single-stage, single-suction horizontal centrifugal pump engineered for abrasive, particle-laden and moderately corrosive process media. Its ISO 2858-based hydraulic architecture combines controlled internal flow with rigid metallic construction for dependable continuous-duty service.

Hydraulic and Material Engineering

Optimized impeller and casing passages promote stable velocity distribution, controlled particle movement and reduced localized recirculation. This helps limit erosion, solids accumulation, vibration and pressure fluctuations when the pump operates near its selected duty point.

Available wetted materials

  • AISI 304: General industrial and moderate-corrosion service.

  • AISI 316 / 316L: Wider chemical and chloride resistance.

  • Duplex 2205: Increased strength with resistance to pitting and stress-corrosion cracking.

  • Super Duplex 2507: Severe chloride-rich and highly aggressive environments.

Operating Capability

The available product envelope covers 10–60 m³/h flow, 20–120 m differential head, 3–45 kW motor power and a rated speed of 2,900 r/min. Standard media temperatures range from −20°C to +120°C, with engineered configurations available up to +180°C. Recommended suspended-particle size is 0.3–1.0 mm.

High-temperature configurations require coordinated selection of metallurgy, shaft seals, gaskets, elastomers, bearings, lubrication and motor rating. Final limits must be confirmed for the complete assembly and actual pumped medium.

Industrial Applications

  • Mining, mineral beneficiation and fine-ore slurry transfer

  • Metallurgical, chemical and petrochemical processing

  • Industrial wastewater and abrasive-effluent handling

  • Acidic, alkaline and chloride-bearing process liquids

  • Filtration, separation and process-tank circulation

  • High-temperature industrial-fluid transfer

  • Corrosive slurry circulation and discharge

UHB System Integration

The pump can be configured for corresponding UHB-type installations. Interchangeability must be verified against flange dimensions and rating, shaft-centre height, baseplate footprint, coupling, motor frame, rotation, piping loads and the required duty point.

Application Selection

Reliable performance depends on selecting the pump for the complete process—not flow and head alone. Solanzo application engineering should confirm:

  • Slurry density, viscosity and solids concentration

  • Particle size, hardness and geometry

  • Fluid chemistry, pH and chloride content

  • Temperature, suction conditions and NPSHa

  • Operating hours, seal-flushing requirements and expected service life

For highly concentrated slurry, particles outside the recommended range or unusually aggressive chemistry, the hydraulic configuration and wetted materials must be reviewed before final selection.

FAQ

Questions about this product

It is engineered for abrasive, particle-laden and moderately corrosive process media, including fine suspended solids. Final selection depends on solids concentration, particle characteristics, slurry density, viscosity and chemistry.

The available envelope covers nominal flow rates of 10–60 m³/h, differential heads of 20–120 m, motor powers of 3–45 kW and a rated speed of 2,900 r/min. The final duty point must be application-verified.

Available wetted-material options include AISI 304, AISI 316, AISI 316L, Duplex 2205 and Super Duplex 2507, selected according to corrosion, chloride exposure, abrasion and process severity.

The standard configuration supports −20°C to +120°C. Engineered high-temperature configurations can reach +180°C with coordinated selection of metallurgy, seals, gaskets, bearings, lubrication and motor rating.
